SERP snippet preview
Verified against current specsWhat the output means
The preview shows an approximate rendering of your title, URL, and description at the selected device width. It is a local simulation based on font metrics, not Google actual rendering. Google may rewrite the title link or snippet based on the query and page content.
How to use this tool
- Enter your page title and meta description.
- Optionally add the page URL, used only for the preview display.
- Switch between Desktop and Mobile to see width-based truncation.
- Copy the title or description when you are happy.
How the check works
Width is measured with the browser Canvas measureText API using Arial at the tool font size. Text beyond the device width is flagged as likely truncated. There is no fixed Google pixel limit; the preset widths are product approximations, not Google guarantees.
Worked example
Title: Best Running Shoes for 2026 renders fully at desktop width. Keep the description under about 155 characters to reduce truncation risk on mobile.
What this tool cannot tell you
This tool cannot predict how Google will rewrite your title or snippet, nor whether your page will rank. It only estimates on-screen truncation for the text you enter.
Common questions
Is this the exact Google preview?
No. It is an approximate, local simulation. Google may generate different titles and snippets.
Why is my text cut off?
When the measured pixel width exceeds the device preset, the tool flags likely truncation. Keep titles short and descriptions concise.
